Top Gun: Maverick

We have waited literally decades for the Top Gun sequel and now there are reports that filming begins this summer following the official announcement last year…

According to Digital Spy, the film could not simply just be a remake of the beloved original because of the differences in the Navy.

Rumored director Joseph Kosinski goes on to explain that “it’s just a different world now, so you can’t just remake the original, it must adapt“.

He also teased fans, promising us that there will be a lot fast-paced action, which makes you feel like you’re right there, in the fighter jet!

Set to explore Maverick’s role in the modern military, the Top Gun sequel is due to hit the cinemas in July, 2019.
